Hi, Everyone! My name is Julia Capobianco and I am very excited to be back as Head Coach for another Lightning Swim Season!! During the school year, I am an elementary school teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School. I have a HUGE love for teaching children, in both the classroom and the pool.
I found my passion for swimming because of my own summer swim team at just seven years old. I am hoping to bring the same joy and high excitement that I felt in this sport to your children, too. I am dedicated to helping your children become better swimmers and helping our Lightning community grow strong! We are going to have an amazing summer together!
Hi!! My name is Riley Albanese and I am so honored to be joining the Lightning Swim Team as an Assistant Coach this summer! I am currently finishing up my freshman year at Indiana University studying marketing, after having graduated from Dominion High School last June. I was a member of the Lightning Swim Team from age 5 as a Mini Bolt, all the way until last summer when I aged out. I am so excited to be able to stay involved with a team that has been such a constant in my life every summer. Growing up on this team with both my cousins and siblings and the many friends I made along the way is what made it so special. I have loved getting to work with many of the kids as a Junior Coach for the past 4 summers and I am grateful I get to spend even more time helping them grow as swimmers! I am determined to create a positive environment for your kids, while also helping them develop into strong swimmers and find the love for it that I did! I am so happy that I have the opportunity to give back to this team and I hope that this summer helps us continue to grow the amazing community we have built!!
Hi I'm Jackson and graduated from The Heights School. I was a four-year varsity swimmer and served as captain of the swim and baseball team. My favorite stroke is breaststroke. I am excited to meet everyone and for this opportunity to work with this team.
I am attending Virginia Tech and studying architecture.
